How this report was built
- Sources. Figures come only from official sources: pay scales, collective agreements, government immigration pages and national statistics offices. Each figure links to its source and shows the date it was checked.
- Currency. Each figure is converted to US dollars through the euro, using European Central Bank reference rates of 30 Oct 2026.
- Annual amounts. Hourly figures are multiplied by 2,080 (40 hours, 52 weeks), weekly by 52 and monthly by 12. Overtime, bonuses, allowances and any 13th-month payment are not included.
- Not published. Where no official scale or wage figure was found, the report says so and does not estimate. 5 countries have no published scale.
- Gross pay. Every figure is before income tax and social contributions, as the source publishes it.
- Lowest published pay. The smallest annual amount a source gives for the country. Where a source gives only a median, that median is shown and labelled as one.
- Latest check. The latest figure in this report was checked on 29 Oct 2026. Rules change, so confirm with the official source before you plan.
