Yes, many nurses from India move to Australia, but the route has separate steps run by different bodies. First, Ahpra sets the registration requirements for internationally qualified nurses, so check its current list. Second, the visa is a separate process run by the immigration department, and it depends on your occupation, your circumstances and whether an employer sponsors you. Third, you need an English test that Ahpra accepts, with the score it asks for. Keep your certificates, transcripts and experience letters ready, and get certified copies where the regulator asks for them. Avoid anyone who asks you to pay before a written offer. Our Australia guide from India lists the steps and the official fees in order, and the Australia checklist gives you a list to tick off. Confirm each step on the official site before you act on it, because the rules change.
