Fair recruitment means the employer pays the recruitment costs, so ask the employer to confirm in writing who pays for the visa and the work permit. Check that the offer is in a written contract the employer has signed before you agree to anything. Read any repayment clause closely. Our fake-agent check says a repayment clause is fair only when it is limited to costs the employer paid and reduces over time. Check any training bond against the legal limit for the country, and ask for the full cost list with official receipts. Do not hand over your original documents to get the offer processed. Our fake-agent check also lists the questions to ask and the fee rules by country, so use it before you pay anything. If the employer cannot confirm in writing who pays, do not agree to pay.
