The score is set by the regulator and it can change, so check Ahpra's current English requirements before you book a test. Do not use a score from a forum post as your target. Write the score and the accepted test from the regulator's page in your notes, with the date you checked it, then plan your study backwards from your test date. If you have not yet chosen between IELTS and OET, compare both against the regulator's list of accepted tests, because a test is only useful if it is on that list. The destination page for Australia lists the exams that apply, so you can see the full set of steps in one place. Track your progress against the target with a score log by section. Practice results do not show your exam result. If a test result you hold does not appear on the regulator's list, ask Ahpra in writing before you rely on it.
