The recognition body in the German state where you apply decides which documents it needs, so ask that body for its checklist in writing and compare it with your file. Typical items include your nursing certificate, a transcript, proof of training hours and a certified translation, but confirm each one with the body before you send anything. Keep your originals safe, and send certified copies only, unless the body asks for originals. Read the Germany destination page for the exams that apply, then check each recognition step on the official body's site. Keep a folder with a dated copy of each document you send and each receipt you receive. Avoid any agent who asks for payment before you have the checklist, and never send your original passport or certificates to a third party. Our Germany guides set out the steps, but the recognition body's written list is the one that counts for your application.
